Terms and Conditions

1. “Prequalified” means that you currently meet one of the following minimum annual income threshold requirements for the BMO^®† AIR MILES^® World Elite^®* Mastercard^®*: (a) personal income of $80,000, or (b) household income of $150,000, or (c) have spent at least $25,000 on credit cards in the past 12 months.


2. The AIR MILES bonus offer is limited to approved card upgrades to the BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard. The 500 Bonus Miles will be applied to your AIR MILES collector account (“Collector Account”) by Sept 4, 2025 when you upgrade to the BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard by May 22, 2025, and spend at least $1,000 in purchases charged to your account (less refunds and excluding cash advances, cash-like transactions, interest charges, fees, credit or debit adjustments) by July 31, 2025, and the transactions have been posted to your account by August 7, 2025. Miles will be allocated in accordance with your set balance preference (between AIR MILES Cash and AIR MILES Dream accounts) at the time of posting. Limit of one (1) bonus offer per collector number. If you cancel your card within thirty (30) days of accepting this offer, the Bonus Miles will be cancelled. Your credit card account must be in good standing at the time the Bonus Miles are awarded. This offer is time-limited and may be changed without notice.


3. The standard annual $120 fee will be rebated for the primary cardholder for the first year. The full $120 fee will be billed each subsequent year on the statement following your account’s anniversary date. If you cancel your card within thirty (30) days of accepting this offer, the first year’s annual fee rebate will be cancelled. An annual card fee of $50 is charged for each additional card. If an additional cardholder is added to the account within the first year, a pro-rated portion of the $50 will be rebated within the first sixty (60) days following the date of the addition. Ongoing annual fees and all other applicable fees are subject to change with notice.


4. 3x the Miles: BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard cardholders will get 3 AIR MILES Reward MilesTM for every $12 in purchases at participating AIR MILES partners. Participating AIR MILES partners may be added or removed at any time without notice; visit airmiles.ca/bmopartners for partner details. Miles will be calculated on the total eligible cumulative purchases made at all participating AIR MILES partners and credited to your account within 90 days after the end of the applicable statement period. The number of Miles awarded will be rounded down to the nearest whole number. Fractions of Miles will not be awarded. Eligible purchases are purchases charged to your credit card account (less refunds and excluding cash advances, cash-like transactions, interest charges, fees and credit or debit adjustments). The “3x the Miles” benefit is available on eligible purchases and may be withdrawn or changed at any time without notice.


5. When you upgrade to the BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard you will get 1 AIR MILES Reward Mile for every $12 spent on qualifying card purchases. Offer is cumulative over the statement period. Award of AIR MILES Reward Miles is made for qualifying purchases charged to your account (less refunds and excluding cash advances, cash-like transactions, interest charges, fees, credit or debit adjustments) and is subject to the AIR MILES Reward Program Terms and Conditions and the BMO Mastercard Cardholder Agreement. The number of Miles will be rounded down to the nearest whole number. Fractions of Miles will not be awarded.


6. Ongoing interest rates, interest-free grace period, annual fees, and all other applicable fees are subject to change. Cash advances include balance transfers, cash-like transactions and Mastercard cheques. Visit your branch, call the BMO Customer Contact Centre at 1-800-263-2263, or visit bmo.com/creditcards for current rates and fees. If your current interest rate is below 21.99% for purchases, fees and other charges and 23.99% (21.99% for Quebec residents) for cash advances and balance transfers after your account is transferred to the BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard, the standard ongoing interest rates of (a) 21.99% for purchases, fees and other charges, and (b) 23.99%(21.99% for Quebec residents) for cash advances and balance transfers will be applied to your next statement following the transfer for the whole statement period, including the period before your product transfer.


7. If your current interest rate for purchases, fees and other charges is 21.99% or above and/or your current interest rate for cash advances and balance transfers is 23.99% (21.99% for Quebec residents) or above, your current interest rates will not change. Interest is charged on the balances that are not fully paid by the payment due date and calculated from first date of charge to the card. Ongoing interest rates, interest-free grace period, annual fees and all other applicable fees are subject to change without notice.


8. Cardholders of the BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard, BMO AIR MILES Business Mastercard and BMO AIR MILES Small Business World Elite Mastercard (“Eligible Cardholders”) enjoy automatic AIR MILES Onyx collector status and have access to the corresponding benefits as long as they remain Eligible Cardholders (“Partner Designation”). Should their Eligible Cardholder status terminate, then requalification for Onyx collector status is based on their collection of 5,000 eligible Reward Miles in a calendar year. Eligible Miles are collected in connection with qualifying purchases made at participating AIR MILES partners; see the partner listing section on airmiles.ca. Certain Miles do not count towards the minimum 5,000 eligible Mile requirement (“Exclusions”). Exclusions include, but are not limited to, refunded Miles, transferred Miles, any Miles collected through an employee incentive program, and Miles collected in connection with any specifically excluded offer. Partner Designation is determined by AIR MILES in its sole discretion. AIR MILES Onyx collector status qualification requirements and benefits are subject to change at any time and without notice. 9. An administration fee (plus taxes) if applicable will apply for each flight order. Collector status flight offer applies only to Reward Miles used to order select flights updated each month on airmiles.ca.


10. Collector status flight and merchandise offers cannot be combined with any other offers such as Travel Specials and Deals of the Week. AIR MILES reserves the right to offer flights and merchandise for an equivalent or less number of Miles to all collectors.
    
    
11. Quantities may be limited. Collector status merchandise offer applies to Reward Miles used to order select merchandise rewards updated on airmiles.ca.

13. The “save up to 7c/L at Shell” offer is available only to AIR MILES collectors who have linked their BMO credit or debit card with their AIR MILES collector account. To receive the savings at the pump, the eligible AIR MILES collector number must be connected to your BMO credit or debit card and the eligible AIR MILES collector number must be valid at the time of the purchase transaction.

To qualify for the offer, eligible collectors with a BMO credit or debit card:




Can receive their fuel discount at the pump once the customer input their AIR MILES collector number and complete the payment with the BMO credit or debit card that has been linked to their AIR MILES collector account.




BMO AIR MILES credit card holders with a valid AIR MILES collector account will receive an instant discount of $0.02 per litre on regular fuel (Shell Bronze and Shell Silver) and $0.07 per litre of premium fuel (Shell V-Power NiTRO+ or Shell V-Power NiTRO+ 91 or Shell VPower NiTRO+ 93) at Shell (excluding Flying J locations) between March 18, 2024, to December 31, 2025, to a maximum of 1,000 litres in one month.




BMO non-AIR MILES credit and debit card holders, including other BMO Mastercard and BMO Visa* holders must manually link their credit or debit card to an existing or new AIR MILES collector account at <<airmilescardlink.ca/bmo-shell-benefit>>to be valid for this offer. The Opt-in process might take up to 5 days before the benefit is provided, then eligible AIR MILES collectors will receive an instant discount of $0.02 per litre on regular fuel (Shell Bronze and Shell Silver) and $0.07 per litre of premium fuel (Shell V-Power NiTRO+ or Shell V-Power NiTRO+ 91 or Shell V-Power NiTRO+ 93) at Shell (excluding Flying J locations) between March 18, 2024, to December 31, 2025, to a maximum of 1,000 litres in one month. All BMO AIR MILES Mastercard credit card holders are automatically linked to their AIR MILES collector card, and thus, are automatically eligible for this offer.

14. BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard cardholders will earn 1 AIR MILES Bonus Mile for every $12 in purchases made at eligible grocery merchants classified by Mastercard’s “Merchant Category Code” as “grocery stores and supermarkets” (MCC 5411) starting August 1, 2022 to earn 2 total Miles including the base earn rate. Grocery purchases at participating AIR MILES Partners will not be eligible for this offer; however, they will continue to earn the “3x the Miles” benefit. Bonus Miles will be earned on eligible grocery purchases up to a combined maximum of $500 in net purchases posted to your account per statement cycle period. Once the maximum is reached, purchases will no longer be eligible for this offer. 15. For the up to 5x the AIR MILES^® Reward Miles^™ offer: AIR MILES Collectors can bundle two (2) travel products and earn up to 5x the Miles. This includes; Flight + Accommodation, or Flight + Car Rental.
    
    AIR MILES Blue collectors get 1 AIR MILES® Reward MilesTM for every $15 CAD spent, per bundled travel booking transaction. AIR MILES Gold® collectors can get 1 AIR MILES Reward Mile for every $10 CAD spent, per bundled travel booking transaction. AIR MILES Onyx collectors can get 1 AIR MILES Reward Miles for every $5 CAD spent, per bundled travel booking transaction.
     
    Offer is valid for collectors who make a booking on AIR MILES® Travel. The Miles earned will be calculated on the booking collector status at the time of booking and the base cost of the booking made in a single transaction. Miles are not earned on any taxes and fees. Offer applies to the amount of the booking paid for by credit card. Offer applies only to transactions where both travel components are booked together in a single transaction, and the bundle type is selected prior to booking/purchase completion. Adding a second travel component to a previously completed booking will not qualify as a bundled package.
    

    Miles will be posted into the booking collector’s AIR MILES account within 5 to 10 days after travel is completed. AIR MILES reserves the right to change or retract an offer at any time without prior notice, or to retract an offer for deceptive booking behaviour, including but not limited to creating multiple collector numbers. AIR MILES reserves the right to offer a Reward Miles earn rate at an equivalent or greater value to all collectors. By participating in this offer you agree to the AIR MILES Travel Terms of Use.

16. AIR MILES Onyx collectors can transfer an unlimited number of Reward Miles between their AIR MILES Cash and Dream Accounts. There is no fee associated with the balance transfer feature for Gold or Onyx collectors. To use the balance transfer feature, first log in to your AIR MILES account on airmiles.ca or in the AIR Miles App and visit the balance transfer page. Then, select the transfer type (Cash to Dream or Dream to Cash), enter the amount of Miles you wish to transfer and confirm the transfer by clicking the “transfer” button. Once confirmed, transfers are final; reversing the transfer will be considered a second transfer and will contribute to the annual transfer limit applicable to Gold collectors. Please visit
